Ever since Precise Mortgages launched in 2010, we’ve always been in the vanguard of adopting the latest technology which ensures brokers can continue helping their customers get the mortgage or loan they want.

In keeping with our reputation as a company that likes to lead the way, I’m delighted to announce that we now accept identification documents, such as passports and driving licences, which have been verified using an approved digital identification solution.

We’re always looking for new ways to make applying for one of our products as quick and as easy as possible for you and your customers. Our latest improvement means customers don’t have to put original documents in the post and gets rid of the manually intensive tasks of scanning, recording and returning important documents. All you now need to do is send us your customer’s digital report and we’ll do the rest.

This is a really important step forwards. With people increasingly running their financial affairs online, it’s never been more important for brokers to be able to offer solutions which meet their customers’ expectations.

While this feels cutting-edge at the moment, we fully expect the adoption of digital technology to both validate a customer’s identity and to capture evidence of an identification document to become increasingly more widespread across the intermediary market in the coming years.

We are currently accepting digital ID from the following companies and we’re planning to add more names to the list in the future:

  • Experian
  • Equifax
  • CallCredit
  • LexisNexis
  • TrustID
  • Onfido
  • GBGroup

If you’d like to find out more about this exciting new development, speak with a member of our sales team or call our dedicated support service on 0800 116 4385.

Even if you’re not using digital identification technology yet, we’ve still made improvements to our process which make it easier for you to submit your cases.

As our Director of Processing Rob Williams revealed in his recent blog, we no longer need supporting documentation, such as bank statements and income confirmation, to be certified. And we also allow these documents to be submitted in a variety of convenient formats, including scanned, photographic and digital images.
