We know anyone can make a mistake with their finances. A missed credit or store card payment and suddenly your customer can find the door slammed shut on their dreams of buying their own home.

At Precise Mortgages we’re here to help customers with less than perfect credit profiles who may have been turned away by high street lenders. We don’t believe a credit blip in the past should stop your customer getting the mortgage they want now, especially if they’ve taken responsibility for their finances and got things back on track by entering into a Debt Management Plan (DMP).

So I’m excited to announce we’ve made it even easier to apply for one of our DMP Residential Mortgages. It’s the latest improvement we’ve made thanks to our Broker Journey project which was set up to listen to your feedback about how we can make things better for you and your customer.

When you told us it wasn’t always clear what information you needed to send to us and when it needed to be sent, we looked at our process to see how we could make it better.

In response to your feedback we’ve launched a Guide to Debt Management Plans which tells you everything you need to know before you submit your customer’s application, including key information and DIP tips. We’ve also streamlined the application criteria and condensed a number of forms down into one mandatory submission form.

All you need to do is complete the form, upload it, along with any supporting documentation such as a DMP reference, proof of income and bank statements, and we’ll have everything we need to make a decision as quickly as possible, helping us to help you.

Our Residential Mortgages range features products specifically designed for customers with active and recently satisfied DMPs (within the last 36 months). We also treat Debt Arrangement Schemes (DAS) in the same way as DMPs to help customers in Scotland.
