Getting it ‘right first time’: how our new checklists can help

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that’s certainly been true over the past few months.

Whether it’s family members or friends, colleagues or customers, we’ve all missed human contact since the outbreak of the pandemic. Our Sales Team has certainly missed being out on the road, meeting with you face-to-face and providing support with your customers’ cases.

Although we haven’t been able to physically come out and visit you, we’ve kept in touch thanks to the wonders of modern technology. Interestingly, what’s become apparent from speaking with brokers virtually is that many of you are busier than ever due to the number of landlords looking to expand their portfolios and first time buyers using the Stamp Duty holiday to help take their first step on the property ladder.

We always listen carefully to what you tell us, so when you said you’d find it handy to have a list of all the documentation you need to submit when sending us your cases we put together four ‘right first time’ checklists – Buy to Let Limited Company, Buy to Let Personal Ownership, Residential Mortgages and Residential New Build.

Getting it ‘right first time’ and giving us all of the correct documentation we need at day one means we can make informed decisions making the application process more efficient, helping you to meet your customers’ expectations and reducing the need for us to contact you for more information.

We understand that not every application is straightforward, so as well as details of the standard information we need there’s space to provide any extra information you think may help us to process your applications.

We appreciate that you’re having to work harder at the moment, so we hope these checklists will make things a little easier for you.
